Corel Painter is the *leading* professional digital art software and has been for decades. My media creation and editing toolbox is rather large when it comes down to it.Īs for market share: that's a silly statement. I also have a yearly subscription to an Adobe suite and routinely use Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere in my workflow as well as other video editing software, etc. I also use a plethora of other digital art software such as Rebelle, Krita, ArtRage and a lot more. I use Corel Painter routinely as well as VideoStudio less often and PaintShop Pro when it fits my workflow. And no, I don't have any "skin in the game", whatever you think that means.
"Captain America"? What does that even mean? Bizarre. No one can deny that nother competitor (which I won't name or else someone might get a stroke) is the most popular software of this genre. I'm not saying Corel is not good but I am saying that Corel no longer owns market share as it did. Then for whatever reason, it ain't so hot in the 2000s. & Unless there's a commercially available e-version, it ain't coming back large. I get that you might have skin in the game but all's I'm saying is I remember Corel being as big as Rollerblades in the 90s. Time doesn't make these obsolete, it makes them easier, more powerful and more capable with each new release.īTW: I play hockey every weekend and my blades haven't gone anywhere either. How does powerful software go the way of roller skating, exactly? This set of Corel software is just as capable and useful as it has always been.
